Ingredients
- 2 cup Cooked rice
- ½ tsp Ginger (paste)
- ½ tsp Garlic (paste)
- ½ tsp Lemon juice
- 1 large Tomato
- 1 tbsp Gram Dal
- 1 tsp Urad Dal
- ½ tsp Mustard seeds
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 medium Onion (optional)
- 1 or 2 Green chillies
- Few Curry leaves
- Few Coriander leaves
- ½ tbsp Oil
- To taste Salt
Instructions
- Cook rice and keep it separately. Allow it to cool. Heat kadai and pour oil in it. Allow it to heat and then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, gram dal and urad dal.
- Deep fry till the dal becomes crispy. Then add chopped onions, and green chillies to it. When the onion is golden brown in color, add the chopped tomatoes to it along with curry leaves.
- Once the tomatoes are cooked well and become soft, add ginger – garlic paste to it. Allow it to cook for sometime and when you get the aroma, add lime juice, coriander leaves and salt to it.
- Then mix the cooked rice and decorate it with cashews or coriander leaves . (This can also be made with the left out rice.)
Notes
Note: You can add tomato pure instead of chopped tomatoes.
