Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Ghee/Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 sprig Curry Leaves
- 2 tsp Ginger paste
- 2 tsp Cumin (coarsely ground)
- 1 tsp Pepper (coarsely powdered)
- 1 slit Green Chillies
- 1 cup Foxtail Millet
- ½ cup Moong Dal
- 6 cups Boiled Water
- 1 tsp Lemon juice
- 2 tbsp Coconut grated optional
- 10 pods Garlic optional
Instructions
- Add ghee/oil in a pan and add the following ingredients Mustard, curry leaves, ginger, cumin seeds, pepper and green chilli in order.
- Add washed Foxtail Millet and Moong Dal then pour the boiled water to the same pan / cooker.
- Add salt as needed and lemon/coconut/garlic if required and cook it for 20 mins or 3 whistles.
- If Foxtail Millet and Moong dal were soaked 5-8 mins should be sufficient.
