Chicken Clear Soup

Chicken meat is an excellent source of protein that the body can use easily. Foods high in protein is a tool for managing weight and a normal blood sugar. The reason chicken is always included in a healthy diet is because it is basically a lean meat, which means it doesn't have much fat. So, eating chicken regularly can actually help you lose weight in a healthy way. Apart from protein, chicken is also chock full of calcium and phosphorous.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 grams Chicken (bone-in chicken) boneless chicken
  • 1 medium Carrot
  • ½ cup Sweet Corn
  • 1 medium Potato (optional)
  • 1 cup Cabbage (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Ginger
  • 1 tbsp Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Ghee
  • To taste Salt
  • 4 Pepper corn
  • 1 Bay Leaf (tej patta)
  • 1 inch Cinnamon Piece
  • 3 cups water

Instructions
 

  • Add chicken, potato, cabbage and 3 cups of water to a cooker or pot.
  • Tear the bay leaf, break the cinnamon and along with pepper corn, pressure cook for 3 whistles or boil until the chicken is tender and fall off the bones.
  • Shred the meat and discard the bones, keep the chicken aside.
  • Make Chicken Soup:
  • Heat a deep pan with oil, sauté ginger and garlic for a minute.
  • Add carrot and sweet corn, fry for a minute.
  • Strain the chicken stock to the pan and boil for a while until the carrot and corn are tender.
  • Add salt and the shredded chicken, turn off the flame.
  • Cool down the chicken soup for a bit and add lemon juice and pepper powder (optional).
  • Serve chicken soup warm.
