Paneer Bhurji (Paneer Scramble Curry)
Adding the yumminess of paneer in the kid's diet helps contribute directly to the bones of the kids as it is rich in calcium. Also the amount of protein and fat present in the paneer helps give all the crucial nourishment a kid/ baby requires in the years of growth and development.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Crumbled Paneer
- 1 ½ tbsp Oil
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds (jeera)
- ½ cup Finely chopped onion
- 1 Green chilli chopped
- 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 small Tomato chopped finely
- ½ cup Capsicum and green peas (optional)
- ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
- To taste Salt
- ½ to ¾ tsp Red chilli powder
- ½ tsp Garam masala or pav bhaji masala
- ½ tsp Kasuri methi (optional)
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice (optional)
- 2 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
Instructions
- Add 1 ½ tablespoon of oil to a pan. Then add ½ teaspoon of cumin seeds and allow them to splutter.
- Next add ½ cup chopped onion and 1 chopped green chilli.
- Fry until lightly transparent or golden.
- Then add 1 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste, sauté until the raw smell goes away.
- Add 1 small chopped tomato, salt and turmeric powder. Fry until the tomatoes turns soft and mushy.
- Then add kasuri methi (optional), red chilli powder and garam masala.
- Mix and sauté until the raw smell goes away from the mixture and the masala leaves the sides of the pan.
- Stir in peas and capsicum if using and fry until the capsicum turns soft.
- Crumble paneer well and add it to the pan. Stir and fry until everything blends well just for 2 minutes.
- Taste test it and if required add more salt or masala.
- Turn off the flame and add chopped coriander leaves. Squeeze lemon juice.
Notes
Note: You may want to adjust the masala to taste.
Serving Tip: Serve paneer bhurji with roti, paratha, rice or bread.
